Last Saturday, February 13, I went to Clark Pampanga to see the Hot Air Balloon Festival with my closest college buddies. It’s actually the 20th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta and it’s a four-day event from February 11 to 14. The event will showcase the talent and passion of the pilots from all over the world and a lot of people are coming  to witness the spectacular flying balloons. We left Manila around 3:30AM, we took North Luzon Expressway and exit at Dau, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. It took us less than two hours before we reached the Clark Zone and we thank Kuya Harry for assisting us in this tour.

When we arrived at the area, we already noticed a lot of people falling in line to buy tickets. Thanks to Kuya Harry for purchasing the ticket online, we don’t need to fall in line anymore. We showed our printed tickets and then go ahead to the area where the event will take place. We took several photos already even when the event has not yet started because we can’t help ourselves from appreciating the beauty of the sky and sunrise. It was amazing and it felt like our childhood flare-up the moment we saw the balloons flying in the sky . When the host announces that the blowing of the balloons will start, the crowd went excitedly like little children to see the flying colorful balloons. People already started taking pictures and lucky are the people who came early that they got the nicest spot to capture the beauty of these balloons. Some did camping, I bet they came very early to set those tents. We’re still lucky that despite the crowded area, we managed to get a nice spot.

The photo was taken during the blowing of the balloons. Thanks Tinay for this lovely photo 🙂
